Volunteer Opportunity: Modern Slavery Survivor Support Service

The Salvation Army is currently growing a network of community–based support, which provides survivors of human trafficking and/or modern slavery with a link to their local community and signposting to the range of available support they may need.

We cannot do this without the help of enthusiastic volunteers so would you like to come and join us?

This role offers a great opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the lives of men who have survived human trafficking and/or modern slavery. These individuals will have transitioned out of crisis and are moving toward rebuilding their lives and settling into Newcastle.

Volunteers will support clients during a weekly daytime drop-in session that will follow a formal programme to accommodate clients’ needs, provide practical support and social opportunities. This daytime session will be on a specified weekday and will run for approximately 2 hours – further information will be provided to potential applicants.

As one of our volunteers, you will receive specialised training and regular support from our Community Hub team.
